IBM, Huawei and Alibaba Are Members of China Blockchain Innovation Alliance

China has welcomed its first provincial-level Blockchain Innovation Alliance on April 14, according to a local report. 

More than 100 Well-known Enterprises

More than 100 well-known enterprises, both domestic and foreign, have joined the alliance. Members include Inspur, Tsinghua Unigroup, Huawei, IBM, Tencent, Alibaba and Baidu, according to the announcement. 

The Alliance strives to promote upstream and downstream collaboration in the blockchain industry chain, and collaboration in production, education and research. It will also help to promote member units to cooperate closely on key blockchain technologies, applications, standards, and more, and jointly advances the development of Chongqing blockchain technology and industrial innovation, therefore, supporting the high-quality development of Chongqing blockchain digital economy.

400,000 square meters

The blockchain base is located in the intelligent industry cluster in Yuzhong District, with the planning area of nearly 400,000 square meters. The construction of the blockchain base was launched in 2017, focusing on building a blockchain application ecosystem, and committed to creating a national-level blockchain industry innovation demonstration park.

The base will efficiently organize large-scale industrial development activities and regularly holds seminars, salons, and other industrial exchange activities. In addition, Chongqing is also actively exploring the new model of 5G + blockchain and encouraging companies to explore blockchain commercial application models.
